This Intellectual Property Policy (“Policy”) outlines the rules and procedures related to intellectual property rights on Houwlly.com (“the Platform”). It applies to all users, including Service Providers and Service Seekers.
By using the Platform, you agree to comply with this Policy and all applicable intellectual property laws.
1. Ownership of Work
a. Service Deliverables
Unless otherwise stated in writing, full ownership of the original work product created and delivered by a Service Provider is transferred to the Service Seeker upon full payment for the corresponding order.
This includes, but is not limited to:

Graphics, logos, and design files

Written content, code, and digital materials

Voiceovers, videos, or recordings
b. Exceptions
Ownership terms may vary if:

The parties explicitly agree otherwise in writing

The Service Provider uses pre-existing proprietary content or third-party materials with restricted licenses
In such cases, the Service Provider must clearly disclose these terms to the Service Seeker prior to starting the project.
2. User-Generated Content
Users may upload or publish content on the Platform, such as:

Service listings
-
Portfolios
-
Reviews and comments
-
Profile descriptions
You retain ownership of your content but grant Houwlly.com a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute such content in connection with the operation and promotion of the Platform.
You represent that:

You own or have the rights to use the content you submit

Your content does not violate any third-party rights
3. Copyright Infringement & DMCA Compliance
We respect the intellectual property rights of others and comply with applicable copyright laws, including the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
If you believe your copyrighted material has been used on the Platform without authorization, you may submit a takedown request.
To submit a copyright complaint, provide the following:

Your full name and contact information

A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed

A description of the location of the infringing material (URL or service listing)

A statement that you believe, in good faith, that the use is unauthorized

A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

Upon receiving a valid notice, we will:

Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content

Notify the user who posted the content

Provide them the opportunity to submit a counter-notification if applicable
4. Repeat Infringement Policy
Users who repeatedly violate this Policy or submit infringing content may have their accounts suspended or terminated. The Platform reserves the right to take action without prior notice in cases of clear, repeated violations.
5. Trademark Policy

Users may not use trademarks, logos, or brand names they do not own or have proper authorization to use.

Misleading use of trademarks in service listings, profile names, or descriptions is prohibited.

Trademark holders may report misuse by contacting support@houwlly.com with documentation of ownership.
6. Third-Party Content and Tools
Some features or integrations may include content licensed from third parties or linked external resources. Houwlly.com does not claim ownership over such third-party content and disclaims all liability for unauthorized usage by users.
7. Platform Rights
All original content, logos, software, designs, and technology associated with Houwlly.com are the intellectual property of the Platform and its affiliates. Unauthorized copying, modification, or distribution of Platform materials is prohibited.
